Double Bundles

A few weeks ago I mentioned that I had come into a streak of good luck and here are the rest of my winnings! These two bundles are from the new fabric line found at Target stores, Fabric Editions.

The first bundle is a gorgeous but still adventurous bundle of browns and greens. I can't decide if the bird print or the floral is my favorite, but I love the total combination of the bundle. I was thrilled to win these one-yard cuts from a contest on Instagram!

This second bundle is a much more lively and bright grouping that my 4-year old daughter just loves. I won this fantastic grouping, also from Fabric Editions for Target, from a Twitter contest. I was sure that I should run out and buy a lottery ticket the day I found out I won this second bundle.

I usually decide on a pattern and then choose fabrics to go with them, so I am at a bit of a loss reversing my process. What patterns would you suggest? Would you add other fabrics or keep these bundles as they are? Perhaps you would make something other than a quilt.  I can't wait to see your suggestions!

  1. I LOVE the top bundle. Target in Australia does't sell fabric. I wonder what you will make with these beauties.

    1. Karen, my local Target store is not carrying the fabric yet either, but I believe the Fabric Editions website has a place where you can ask your local store to begin. I don't know if that applies to Australia but it is worth a look. The fabric is certainly quilt quality and comes in such a fun variety. Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Man I never with anything! As far as adding fabric or not, it depends on how big you want the quilt to be. I think you could easily find more prints that would go with the pink bundle, and you could do a cute little girl's quilt with it. Oddly enough, I have a very pretty brown/green stack in my stash that I haven't done anything with yet. It's a weird colour combination but it works.

  3. I love the bird print! A large tote bag would be very nice too.

  6. My favorite is the second bundle. I am always on the look out for fun novelty prints like the peace sign. Not sure what I would make but would let it sit for a moment for something pretty like a bohe handbag
